Criw Cymraeg ydyn ni!
We are proud to share that we have already achieved our Bronze Award for Cymraeg Campus—da iawn pawb! This year, eleni, we are aiming for our Silver Award, and we are excited to take on lots of fun challenges to achieve Targets 1, 2, and 3 by Easter.
But who are the Criw Cymraeg and what do we do?
Criw Cymraeg is a group of enthusiastic pupils who work together to promote the Welsh language throughout the school. By encouraging everyday Welsh, leading activities, and celebrating our culture, we help support the Welsh Government’s goal of reaching 1 million Welsh speakers by 2050.
We have a fantastic action plan to keep us on track, full of creative ideas to promote the Welsh ethos at St Mary’s. We’re especially looking forward to leading assemblies and celebrating events like our Eisteddfod and Shwmae Day!
Stay tuned for updates on our journey!
