The Learning Detectives pupil voice group ensures that learning at St Mary’s RC Primary is the best it can possibly be.  

They support staff in monitoring assessment and learning in each class throughout the school.  Everyone has taken part in lessons to build on their knowledge of our school’s development targets and mission of working, praying, sharing, and learning together. 

Pupils take part in learning walks to monitor classroom displays and different learning behaviours in the hope to encourage confidence and independence. They also carry out book looks and pupil interviews to ensure all pupils are aware of their targets and are confident and happy in their learning environment. 

Everything is fed back to staff, which gives our pupils a sense of responsibility for their own education.
